NYPD Sergeant Shot In Leg In Jamaica, Queens

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A New York City police sergeant was rushed to Jamaica Hospital on Wednesday night after being shot in the leg.

The shooting happened around 10:40 p.m. on Union Hall Street in Jamaica. The NYPD said the injury was not life-threatening and that the sergeant is in stable condition.

Details remain sketchy and there is no further word on the details of the shooting.

The suspect is still at large.
