Hunger Games Actress Amandla Stenberg Sits Down On The Couch

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Anyone who saw the Hunger Games - and a lot of us did - know that while Katniss is the bee's knees, it was little Rue who stole our hearts.

The smash hit movie drops on Blue-Ray and DVD this weekend. Amandla Stenberg, the actress who played Rue, will be making an appearance in Times Square to celebrate the event. But first, she swung by The Couch to dish about her experience filming the flick, as well as the film's upcoming sequel and her next moves in Hollywood.

Stenberg, who admitted she's "Team Peeta," said she made a lot of friends and had a lot of fun hanging out with the cast of the movie based on the hugely successful book.

"The Hunger Games, it's been such a crazy experience and its been so much fun," she said.

The cast, who would hang out at TGI Fridays and often eat dinner together during filming, became close.

"I made so many fantastic friends," she said.

"It was pretty fun, I didn't really get to spend any time with Liam Hemsworth, but I did get to meet him, and he's maybe 3 times my height," she said with a laugh.
