Police Hunt Needle-Point Robbery Suspect In The Bronx
NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD is asking the public for help in tracking down a man who has been threatening people in the Bronx with a hypodermic needle and stealing their property.
The first incident occurred in August when the man approached a male victim near Castle Hill Avenue and East Tremont Avenue, brandished hypodermic needle and demanded property, the victim complied and the suspect fled the location.
On Monday morning the suspect stole an iPad from a 16-year-old boy at, White Plains Road and East Gun Hill Road, before taking off, and on Tuesday he robbed a man at needle point near Roberts Avenue and East Tremont Avenue.
The suspect has been described a 40-year-old Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes, he is 5'6" tall and weighs 120 lbs. He was last seen wearing a black leather Yankees cap, a black hooded sweatshirt, a black t-shirt, grey jeans and black sneakers.
