NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Mark Sanchez had a breakthrough performance against the Buffalo Bills in week one. Sanchez carved the Bills’ secondary for 266 passing yards and was able to get some of the critics off his back.
Week two was an entirely different story as the Steelers delievered a reality check to Sanchez and the Jets. Sanchez only completed 37% of his passes against the Steelers on Sunday. All the preseason questions about the Jets’ offense are coming back to them. Sanchez and the Jets’ offense was only able to convert 4 of 12 third down opportunities.
