NEWTOWN, Conn. (CBSNewYork) — Newtown elementary school massacre victim Josephine Gay had just celebrated her seventh birthday three days before her life was cut short.

Josephine was called a “beautiful angel” in many posts on a Facebook page set up in her memory.

The Wall Street Journal reported that she loved to ride her bike in the street and set up a lemonade stand in the summer, and that she loved the color purple.

Shown in a widely-distributed photo with a broad smile, green traffic cone on her head and a pair of glasses sliding down her nose, Josephine was nicknamed “Boo” because of her resemblance to the character in the movie “Monsters Inc.,” the New Haven Register reported.

• Grace McDonnell, 7;
Emilie Parker, 6
• Jack Pinto, 6;
• Noah Pozner, 6;
• Caroline Previdi, 6;

• Avielle Richman, 6;

• Allison Wyatt, 6.

The adult victims were:

• Rachel Davino, 29;
• Dawn Hochsprung, 47, the principal of the school;
• Anne Marie Murphy, 52;
• Lauren Rousseau, 30;
• Mary Sherlach, 56, the school psychologist who planned to retire next year;
• Victoria Soto, 27, a first-grade teacher.
