Man Wanted For Pouring Flammable Liquid, Displaying Lighter Before Robbing Pay-O-Matic

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - The NYPD is looking for a 40-year-old man who is suspected of robbing a Pay-O-Matic located at 3352 Broadway in Manhattan.

On Monday at 1:45 a.m., the man entered the store with a cup filled with flammable liquid, the police said. He then threw the cup under the cashier's window and demanded cash while flashing a lighter, according to the NYPD.

Police said that the 22-year-old employee followed the suspect's orders and handed over a bag with cash. The suspect then ran north.

Police are describing the suspect as standing 5-foot-9 and weighing 150 pounds, and he was last seen wearing all dark clothing.
