NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) — At least six people were shot – and one of them was killed – between Thursday and Friday afternoon in Newark, N.J., according to a published report.
The first incident happened around 4:30 p.m. Thursday, when Ahmad Jackson, 20, was killed in a targeted shooting at Ashland Street and Orange Avenue, near a high school and a charter school, according to the Star-Ledger.READ MORE: First Case Of Omicron Variant Reported In New Jersey
Two hours afterward, two teenage girls were shot and wounded on Market Street following a high school basketball game at Essex County College, the newspaper reported.
