NYPD Traffic Agent Arrested For DWI

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A New York City traffic enforcement agent was arrested in Queens early Monday and charged with driving while intoxicated.

Jorge Salcedo, 25, was arrested around 12:36 a.m. in the 102nd Precinct, which includes Kew Gardens, Richmond Hill, Woodhaven and other northeasterly sections of Queens.

Police said he was charged with driving while intoxicated, but did not provide further details.

Traffic enforcement agents are civilian employees of the NYPD, who are responsible for giving parking tickets, directing traffic, and testifying at administrative hearings.
