Staten Island Buy Back Event Nets 55 Guns
NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- A gun buyback event on Staten Island ended with fifty-five guns being taken off of the street, according to authorities.
An assault rifle was among the weapons turned in on Saturday, as were 33 revolvers, 14 semiautomatic pistols, a rifle, and 6 other guns. Two of the weapons were loaded and two had defaced serial numbers. The assault rifle was an SKS .762 with a 30-round magazine.
