5-Month-Old Boy Found Dead In The Bronx
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A 5-month-old boy was found dead Wednesday afternoon in the Clason Point section of the Bronx.
Police did not know the cause of death for the baby -- identified as Jacob Agusto -- as of Wednesday evening.
Police were dispatched at 2:11 p.m. to 619 Beach Ave. in the Bronx, after Jacob's 24-year-old mother discovered him unresponsive on the bed in the bedroom.
Jacob had been in the care of the woman's 46-year-old boyfriend at the time, police said.
Jacob was taken to Jacobi Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The New York City Medical Examiner's Office must conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of Jacob's death. The investigation was ongoing Wednesday evening.
