WrestleMania 29 At MetLife Stadium Expected To Generate $100 Million

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) — Cha-ching!

The biggest pro wrestling event of the year is expected to generate $100 million when it comes to northern New Jersey next week.

The WWE's WrestleMania 29 includes a week of events, but the biggest part is the April 7 spectacle at MetLife Stadium.

New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority President and CEO Wayne Hasenbalg tells The Star-Ledger that the event is like the Super Bowl in terms of economic benefit.

And it could be good practice for that event, which is coming to the same stadium next year.

Besides a match between Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and John Cena, the festivities include chances for fans to meet their favorite stars, an anti-bullying rally and an auction for Superstorm Sandy relief.
