Super Bowl XLVIII Teams To Stay In Jersey City

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (CBSNewYork) - The winner of Super Bowl XLVIII, which will be played at MetLife Stadium in 2014, will come from Jersey City, at least temporarily.

Both teams will stay at the Westin at 479 Washington Boulevard and the Hyatt at 2 Exchange Place.

"It's a tremendous boost to our city," A thrilled Jersey City Mayor Jerramiah Healy told WCBS 880 reporter Peter Haskell. "It's going to give us here in Jersey City an opportunity to show the world what we have here," he added.

Maria Nieves of the Hudson County Chamber of Commerce thinks it'll be great for business.

"So I do feel that it will absolutely translate into dollars when we see such an influx of visitors to our region," she said.

That means more money going to hotels, restaurants, and other facilities.

The date of the game is February 2.
