NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police Wednesday evening were asking the public to help identify a suspect who stole a man’s cell phone and punched him in Hell’s Kitchen last month.
The 22-year-old victim was walking past 619 Ninth Ave., near 44th St., around 4:20 a.m. on Thursday, March 21, when he encountered the suspect. When the victim tried to get his cell phone back, the suspect punched him in the face and ran off.
The victim was taken to St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center, where he was treated for a bloody lip and released, police said.

Police have released a surveillance photo.
