Police: 59-Year-Old Woman Robbed In Brooklyn Elevator

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for a man who allegedly robbed a woman in an elevator in Brooklyn.

The incident occurred last Friday around 4 p.m. at a building on Pennsylvania Avenue.

Police said the suspect followed a 59-year-old woman into the elevator and as she tried to exit, he pushed her down to the ground in the hallway and robbed her.

The suspect is described as a black man believed to be in his 20's, 5'11" tall and 185 pounds with short, black hair, police said. The suspect was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
