NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – May is National Burger Month. Executive Chef John DeLoach at LAVO stopped by the CBS 2 studios to cook up his signature LAVO burger with applewood bacon, mozzarella and garlic aioli.

  • 8 oz prime beef burger, freshly ground
  • Slice tomato
  • Fresh Boston lettuce
  • Grilled onion
  • Mozzarella or gorgonzola
  • Slice Applewood smoked bacon
  • Served with handcut fries, truffle oil, parmigiano cheese and a Kosher pickle


-Season special blend of prime beef with salt & pepper

-Grill to order

-Simultaneously grill Applewood smoked Bacon on pan with dash of olive oil

-Take burger off pan and place on bottom bun

-Add Mozzarella or Gorgonzola cheese, then Applewood smoked Bacon

-Add onion, tomato and lettuce

-Add top bun

-Served with handcut fries (topped with truffle oil and parmigiano cheese) and a kosher pickle
