Man Shot Dead At Brooklyn Public Housing Development

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man was found shot to death Sunday afternoon in a public housing development in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn.

Around 5:15 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of a man shot in front of 1414 Bergen St., one of the buildings in the Albany Houses development.

They found Damien Powell, 25, lying at the scene with a gunshot wound to his torso.

Powell was taken to Kings County Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

There had been no arrests as of Sunday evening.
