Cops Searching For Sayville Bank Robbery Suspect

SAYVILLE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Police in Suffolk County are investigating a bank robbery in Sayville.

It happened around 3:40 p.m. Monday.

Police said a man walked into a Capital One Bank on Main Street and gave the teller a note demanding money.

The teller handed over the cash and the suspect fled on foot, police said.

The suspect is described as a white male between 5-feet-5-inches and 5-feet-8-inches tall. He was wearing a long sleeve shirt, shorts, knee-high socks, dark sunglasses and a fedora style hat, police said.

He was last seen heading westbound on Main Street.
