Jets Reportedly Working Out WRs Robinson, Collie, K Cundiff

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The New York Jets are bringing in a pair of wide receivers and a kicker for a look-see, according to multiple reports.

Free-agent wideout Laurent Robinson will work out for the team on Monday, the New York Daily News reported. Indianapolis Colts receiver Austin Collie and journeyman kicker Billy Cundiff will also get an audition, ESPN reported.

Robinson and Collie have been haunted by concussions and other injuries, playing a combined eight games in 2012.

The 28-year-old Robinson had 24 catches for 252 yards in seven games last season for Jacksonville. Collie, 27, came back from his concussion woes in 2012 and recorded just one catch in one game before rupturing the patellar tendon in his right knee.

Meanwhile, wide receiver Braylon Edwards "is still in consideration for a return" with the team, the Daily News reported.

Cundiff could be brought in for the team's annual place-kicker competition. Nick Folk beat out Nick Novak in 2011. He won again last year over veteran kicker Josh Brown.

The Jets announced the signing of rookie quarterback Geno Smith on Monday.

Jets camp at SUNY Cortland opens on Thursday, with the first practice scheduled for Friday.
