Report: Boston Area Man Named Anthony Weiner In Trouble

REVERE, Mass. (CBSNewYork) -- A Boston area man who coincidentally happens to be named Anthony Weiner has found himself in big trouble for an incident involving text messages, according to a published report.

The New York Daily News report said this Anthony Weiner – a 25-year-old man from Revere, Mass. – stood accused this weekend of luring a man to his house using his wife's phone after allegedly catching the man trying to court his wife through text messages.

Once the man arrived, authorities claimed the Massachusetts Weiner hit the man in the head with a bat, the newspaper reported.

The Massachusetts Weiner then allegedly tied the man to a chair and threatened him with a power tool and a BB gun, but finally released the man after he started throwing up, the newspaper reported.

Weiner of Massachusetts was charged with assault with intent to murder, assault and battery with dangerous weapons, according to the newspaper report.

He claimed he had acted in self-defense, the newspaper reported.
