Police: Home Invader Punched Woman In Williamsburg

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The search was on Monday night for a suspect who stormed into a woman's home in trendy North Williamsburg, Brooklyn and punched her, police said.

The woman in her 20s was assaulted in a home on Berry Street shortly after 8 p.m., police said.

The woman was not sexually assaulted, police said.

She was taken to Woodhull Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, and was reported in stable condition, police said.

Police said the man fled with a cell phone.

No description of the suspect was immediately available Monday evening.
