Four Hurt In Shooting At Lower Manhattan Nightclub

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Four people have been injured in a shooting during a rap concert at a nightclub in lower Manhattan, police said.

The shooting happened around 12:15 a.m. Thursday at the Sounds of Brazil Club, also known as SOB's, on Varick Street.

Washington D.C.-based rapper Fat Trel was about to make his Big Apple debut, performing tracks from his new mixtape "Sex, Drugs, Money, Guns," but bullets started flying before he could take the stage, 1010 WINS' Steve Sandberg reported.

Witnesses described a chaotic scene.

"We just heard shots and everybody came running out," one witness said.

"We heard a couple of shots and we just got low," another witness said.

Four people, three men and one woman, were shot, police said. They are expected to survive, CBS 2 reported.

The alleged shooter was seen fleeing the scene in a black vehicle toward the Holland Tunnel, Sandberg reported.

Fat Trel took to Twitter immediately after the incident.

No arrests have been made.
