NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A flying Iron Man and a huggable Elmo are being labeled the hottest toys for the holiday season, WCBS 880’s Marla Diamond reported.

“We beefed it up,” a representative with EB Brands, the toy’s maker, told Diamond. “We gave it a 2.4 gigahertz controller, so it can go three, four, five hundred feet up in the air.”
TimetoPlayMag.com release its annual holiday “Most Wanted List.” It tests the toys for durability and fun.

TimetoPlayMag.com also touts Barbie Digital Makeover, which allows kids to give themselves virtual makeovers using an app, and Boom Boom Balloon, a game in which children push sticks farther and farther into a balloon while trying not to pop it.
Toy industry expert Chris Burns says retailers will offer discounts and incentives to get people buying after a lackluster year.
