Avonte Oquendo, 14, Cannot Communicate Verbally

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) — The NYPD has asked the public for help in finding a teenager who was reported missing on Friday.

Avonte Oquendo, 14, was last seen at 12:38 p.m. on Friday, October 4, leaving the Center Boulevard School on 51 Ave in Long Island City.

Oquendo was wearing a grey striped shirt, black jeans, and black sneakers. He is 5’3″, weighs 125-lbs, has black skin, and cannot verbally communicate.

Anybody with information regarding Oquendo has been asked to contact the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
