Report: Hit-And-Run Driver Leaves 3 Pedestrians Hurt On Long Island

HUNTINGTON STATION, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Three pedestrians were injured early Saturday when a hit-and-run driver plowed into them on Long Island, according to a published report.

The pedestrians were standing beside a parked car at Broadway and Kelsey Avenue in Huntington Station, when the vehicle slammed into them around 2:30 a.m. Saturday, Suffolk County police told Newsday.

The vehicle – which might have been a minivan – crossed the double yellow line on the road before striking the pedestrians, the newspaper reported.

The driver kept going east on Broadway toward Park Avenue afterward, the paper reported.

The injured people were taken to North Shore-LIJ System Huntington Hospital in Huntington for minor injuries, the paper reported.
