Police: University of New Haven Stabbed By Roommate

WEST HAVEN, Conn. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A University of New Haven student remains hospitalized in serious condition after he was stabbed several times by his roommate during an argument in their dorm, police said.

Police have not identified the student who was injured early Saturday morning at Soundview Hall on the West Haven campus. He was stabbed in his chest, abdomen and leg, authorities said.

he victim's roommate, 20-year-old Ketryk Wilder of Ballston, N.Y., is charged with first-degree assault and is detained on bail. It's not clear if he has a lawyer.

Wilder is expected to be arraigned Monday in Milford Superior Court.
