Report: Williamsburg, Brooklyn May Soon Get First Starbucks

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Williamsburg, Brooklyn may soon be getting its first Starbucks, according to a published report.

Eater NY reported late last week that job postings have appeared on the Starbucks Corporation jobs website for a Brooklyn location at 405-409 Union Ave., on the ground floor of the 65 Ainslie St. luxury condo building near the Metropolitan Avenue G Train station and close to the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway subway station.

The ad offers applications for a barista and a supervisor at the new location.

Currently, Starbucks are plentiful in a corridor between Brooklyn Heights and Prospect Heights in Brooklyn, Eater NY reported. But in what is often known as the hipster belt, there is only one Starbucks, at 910 Manhattan Ave. in Greenpoint.

In Manhattan, there were 201 Starbucks locations as of the beginning of this year.
