Police: Would Be Rapist Pulled Woman's Pants Down At Manhattan Subway Stop

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD has asked for the public's help in identifying a man wanted in connection with an attempted rape in Morningside Heights.

At 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, a 36-year-old woman was exiting the subway station at 110th Street and Cathedral Parkway when the suspect approached her from behind and pulled her pants down.

The victim began to scream and the suspect fled. No injuries were reported.

The suspect has been described as a 35-year-old black male. He is 6-ft tall, weighs 250-lbs, and was wearing a black cap, black sneakers, and a waist length black jacket.
