New York (CBS New York)  As the Broncos and Seahawks take the field at Metlife Stadium, some local four legged stars will wow TV viewers on Animal Planet.

For the second year in a row, the kittens featured in the kitty halftime show as part of Animal Planet's Puppy Bowl, are from Animal Care and Control of NYC.

"They're adorable", AC&C Executive Director Risa Weinstock told 1010 WINS. "They steal the show."

The 26 kittens featured this year have all been adopted since the Animal Planet taping, but Weinstock says there are plenty more where they came from.  "The whole point of being on Animal Planet is just to get the word out there that there are thousands and thousands of great pets out there, right in your backyard."  When you adopt, she says, you give these animals a second chance.

Animal Care & Control of NY notes that nearly all the kittens featured in the Kitty Half-Time Show spent some time in AC&C foster homes, which are often called on to temporarily care for kittens who aren't yet old enough for adoption. Potential volunteers can sign up for AC&C's next foster orientation, set for February 4, at http://nycacc.org/Foster.htm.
