Woman Hurt When Plow Sends Garbage Can Through Queens Restaurant Window Suing City

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A woman injured when a Department of Sanitation snow plow pushed a garbage can into a Queens building is suing the city.

Victoria Martini was sitting inside the E.X.O restaurant in Forest Hills when the accident knocked her off her chair and showered her in ice and glass.

It happened on Feb. 13 shortly after 11 p.m.

The Department of Sanitation said they conducted an investigation into the accident and are taking disciplinary action against the operators of the equipment.

Martini's attorney says she suffered multiple injuries. Three others were also hurt.
