That ad was a tribute to the iconic Yankees captain, featuring celebrities, fans, fellow players, firefighters and police officers. It was very well-received, and for good reason.

Jeter is playing his final season in pinstripes, but Alex Rodriguez is expected to be back in the Bronx in 2015. A-Rod is — to put it nicely — not nearly as revered in baseball as Jeter is. Rodriguez is currently serving a season-long suspension for his ties to performance-enhancing drugs.

To contrast the popularity of Jeter with the dislike of A-Rod, Funny or Die produced a parody video in which New Yorkers pay their … er … respects to Rodriguez. But instead of tipping their caps to the slugger, they give him the middle finger.
