N.J. Medical Technician Accused Of Videotaping Kids, Collecting Child Porn

HACKENSACK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A New Jersey medical technician was arrested and charged Friday with secretly videotaping prepubescent children for whom he was administering treatment, as well as collecting child pornography.

Brandon Kuhl, 31, of Liberty Township, New Jersey, was arrested Friday without incident after a search warrant was executed at his home, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor's office.

The Prosecutor's Office Computer Crimes Unit began investigating after Kuhl was arrested by police in Ridgewood, New Jersey, on cyber harassment allegations, prosecutors said.

Upon investigation, prosecutors allegedly learned that Kuhl surreptitiously videotaped prepubescent children at his place of employment, and was alone with some of the children while administering medical treatments, prosecutors said.

In some of the videos, Kuhl was seen masturbating while with the children, prosecutors alleged.

Kuhl also used the Internet to acquire child pornography pictures, and was found to be in possession of more than 100 images of prepubescent children engaged in sex acts, prosecutors said.

Kuhl was charged aggravated sexual assault of two juveniles, and endangering the welfare of a minor, prosecutors said.

His bail was set at $500,000, and he was being held in the Bergen County Jail Friday, prosecutors said. Kuhl's arraignment was set for 1:30 p.m. Monday.
