MAHWAH, N.J. (CBSNewYork) — Three more defendants had been charged Monday in connection with the sexual assault of a female student at Ramapo College in New Jersey, prosecutors said.

The latest charges come in addition to those against two others issued previously, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s office.

Justin Sommers and Christopher Rainone of Staten Island, and Jordyn Massood of Wayne, New Jersey – all 18 – were arrested on Monday, according to Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli.

The arrests followed two others on Monday, Nov. 17. Christian Lopez and Nakeem Garnder were charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault and other offenses in the rape of a female student early on Nov. 15, prosecutors said.

Sommers and Rainone were each charged with endangering an injured victim and invasion of privacy, while Massood was charged only with endangering an injured victim, prosecutors said.

Prosecutors claimed that the new defendants all encouraged Lopez and Gardner during the alleged sexual assault, and claimed that Sommers and Rainone took pictures of the victim without her consent.

They were all released on a recognizance bond pending their first appearance in Mahwah Municipal Court, prosecutors said.

Lopez, who is being held in Bergen County Jail, has been charged additionally with criminal restraint, endangering an injured victim and invasion of privacy. He has also been charged with fourth-degree criminal sexual assault for allegedly touching another female student at the college.

Gardner, also being held at the jail, has been charged additionally with endangering an injured victim, prosecutors said.
