NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police on Wednesday were seeking help in finding a suspect who fired a gun through an apartment door in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.

Around 6:38 p.m. Monday, the suspect walked into an apartment building on Malcolm X Boulevard in Brooklyn, walked up to the second floor, and fired the gun multiple times through the door, police said.

The suspect then ran off, heading north on Malcolm X Boulevard, police said.

The suspect was described as being about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 170 pounds. Police have released surveillance video.
