1 Hurt After Garbage Truck Overturns In Brooklyn
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Authorities are investigating an accident involving an overturned garbage truck in Brooklyn.
The accident occurred on Bushwick Avenue near Highland Boulevard at around 5:18 a.m. Tuesday. No other vehicles appeared to be involved.
One person suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment, fire officials said.
Chopper 2 video showed the truck lying on its side across the avenue, leaving only one lane open to traffic.
It wasn't immediately clear if the accident near Evergreens Cemetery was weather-related. The National Weather Service said slick roads are causing treacherous conditions Tuesday morning.
