Police: Missing Swedish Teen With Asperger's Syndrome Found Safe

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A 15-year-old Swedish boy who went missing has been found, police said.

Marcus Kerttu disappeared from a McDonald's in lower Manhattan on Friday night.

MTA police located him overnight at Penn Station, authorities said early Sunday morning. The boy was in good condition, police said.

The teen's father told police he got up to use the bathroom at the fast food restaurant and when he returned his son was gone, the Daily News reported.

The father and son were supposed to fly back to Sweden on Saturday.

Asperger's is an autism spectrum disorder. It is characterized by difficulties with social interaction.
