YAPHANK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) — Suffolk County police have arrested the driver they believe struck and killed a pedestrian in Miller Place before fleeing last year.

At around 11:15 p.m. on Oct. 18, he allegedly hit Tracy Ann Mangino, 40, with a commercial, box-type truck and kept going.
Mangino was walking along North Country Road near Block Island Drive, just steps from her home after visiting a friend, when she was struck by the eastbound vehicle.READ MORE: Overturning Of Mask Mandate In New York State Leads To Confusion On How To Proceed In School Districts
The mother of a teenage girl, Mangino was transported by ambulance to John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson, where she succumbed to her injuries.

Campbell is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Central Islip.
