NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) — A book titled Subway Horror Stories, is well a book of subway horror stories.

“There were stories. Their worst experiences on the train,” Riders Alliance, Deputy Director, Nick Sifuentes said.

The tales are part of a collection assembled by the transit advocacy group.

“People who were stuck underground for hours on a 7 train when it broke down. They were even stranded underneath the river. Stories of stations that feel like they’re completely overrun with rats,” he told WCBS-880’s Jim Smith.

The group plans to present the book to Gov. Cuomo and members of the legislature as it lobbies to have Albany plug the budget gap in the MTA’s Capital Plan.

“This is our way of getting them to see exactly how bad it is,” Sifuentes said.
