NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — CBS2’s Lonnie Quinn was lucky enough to read a Top 10 List on “The Late Show” with David Letterman just this past January, and Dana Tyler also has made an appearance on the iconic program.

Quinn made an appearance on Jan. 26, as the Blizzard of 2015 socked the Tri-State Area. Subways and roads in New York City were shut down for the storm, but it ended up dumping far less snow on the city proper than predicted.

For a little levity amid the frustration, Quinn delivered the “Top 10 Things You Don’t Want To Hear From Your Weatherman During A Blizzard.”

Here are the first five:

Top Ten Things You Don’t Want To Hear From Your Weatherman During A Blizzard

10. “The rain has somehow turned into a mysterious white powder”

9. “If you have extremities you don’t want, now is a great time to freeze them off”

8. “I definitely ate too much rock salt”

7. “The snow accumulation makes it a perfect day to hide a body”

6. “Here are the current conditions for all you slobs too lazy to look out a window”

To see them all, watch the video below.

Tyler was on “The Late Show” back in 1998, in a parody of VH1’s “Behind the Music” focused on Paul Shaffer. In the dramatic delivery style of the series, Shaffer is portrayed is going downhill in an imaginary narrative – dropping his pants during a Grammy acceptance speech, being accused of plagiarizing Sting, and being replaced by Erik Estrada as “Late Show” music director.

Tyler steps in to read a headline in a mock CBS2 newscast.

“Former ‘Late Show’ bandleader Paul Shaffer caused a disturbance this morning,” Tyler reads in the imaginary headline. “A News 2 camera caught the action in Midtown.”

The action cuts to a shirtless Shaffer ranting in Midtown – shortly before he agrees to seek help at the “Kenny Rogers Spiritual Healing and Aromatherapy Compound.”

Shaffer, of course, has actually been the bandleader for Letterman since 1982 – on “Late Night” on NBC, and since the start of the “Late Show” on CBS in 1993.

“We are honored,” Tyler said. “Best of luck, Dave.”
