NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police are asking the public for help in finding the driver involved in a hit-and-run in the Bronx.
Last Saturday, police said a gray Mazda CX-9 heading south on Logan Avenue toward Dewey Avenue struck a 12-year-old boy who was running on the street opposite 518 Logan Ave.READ MORE: Hundreds Of Metropolitan Opera Stagehands, Musicians, Other Union Members Rally Amid Bitter Contract Dispute
The male driver of the Mazda stopped to check on the boy, but then left without reporting the incident, police said.READ MORE: Basic Agreement Reached To Avert Connecticut Nursing Homes Strike
The boy sustained serious injuries and was taken to Jacobi Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
