Caught On Video: Dirt Bike Rider Attacked In The Bronx

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - The NYPD wants your help catching one of two men involved in the attempted theft of a dirt bike in the Bronx earlier this month.

The whole thing was caught on video.

The attempted robbery took place on June 5 at 6:30 p.m. at the corner of Valentine Avenue and East 184th Street.

A 24-year-old man was riding his dirt bike and stopped at a red light. That's when a man jumped from the corner and grabbed the driver around the neck, knocking off the driver's helmet. Another man then punched the driver in the face, forcing him off the bike before grabbing the motorcycle helmet and hitting him with it.

One of the suspects was arrested as he tried to drive off with the bike, police said.
