NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – If you want to be on stage during a Broadway show, you should probably audition.

One audience member at a recent showing of “Hand To God” apparently had a different idea.

A man clambered onto the stage July 2 and plugged his phone into the fake outlet on the set just before the show was to begin.

Cast member Sarah Stiles took to Twitter last Thursday to mention the incident.

That was followed by a Tweet by fellow cast member Marc Kudisch on Friday.

BroadwayAdjacent.com reports that the incident took place just before the show was supposed to get started and delayed the show by five minutes. According to the report, once the audience member received his phone back, he asked the usher, “Well, where can I charge it?”
