Man Wanted For Armed Robbery, Assault At Bronx Deli
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- New City Police officers are looking for a man accused of robbing a deli in the Bronx and assaulting the clerk.
The incident happened around 6:40 p.m. Sunday at a deli located at 2255 Grand Concourse.
Police say the suspect walked inside, showed a gun and demanded money from the 62-year-old employee. He then struck the man in the head causing a laceration and fled on foot with $500 from the register, officers say.
The victim refused medical attention.
The suspect is described as being approximately 5'7" tall, approximately 23 years of age wearing a blue baseball cap, brown T-shirt, brown shorts and black sneakers.
