NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) — A police officer was wounded in a pellet gun shooting near the Mayor’s home on Sunday.

The female officer is a member of Mayor de Blasio’s security detail. She exited an unmarked vehicle outside of 170 East End Avenue at 7:15 on Sunday night when she felt pain in her back, a source said.

The officer determined that she was shot in the back with a pellet gun, a source said.

The officer was taken to the hospital and was expected to be okay.

A canvass of a nearby building across the street turned up two alleged teenage shooters, a source said.

The teens were being questioned on Sunday night, but had not been charged.

The mayor was not at the location at the time of the shooting.
