NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police have released a sketch and two surveillance images of a homeless man who allegedly attacked a 63-year-old woman in a public restroom in Union Square.

The attack happened inside of a bathroom stall in Union Square Park on Sunday afternoon.

Police said the suspect confronted the victim and demanded that she perform a sex act. The suspect fled after the victim bit his left hand during a struggle, police said.

“She bit him quite hard in the hand to the extent that he was bleeding,” Police Commissioner Bill Bratton said Monday. “We took blood samples at that location, so that will help identify the suspect.”

Several security cameras captured images of the suspect wearing a camouflage jacket, orange hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans and a backpack.

The suspect is approximately 30-years-old, has a thin build, short hair and a long goatee, police said.
