WHEATLEY HEIGHTS, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) — A Long Island woman faces Leandra’s law charges after crashing her car with her 3-year-old son in the back seat, according to police.

Rivas and her 3-year-old son was taken to the Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip.
