ALPINE, N.J. (CBSNewYork) — A man was found dead at the bottom of a cliff off the side of a parkway in New Jersey over the weekend, according to police.

Search crews resumed on Sunday morning, when lighting and weather permitted. A victim, later identified as John Norton, 35, of Palisades Park, was found below the cliffs near the parking lot where the vehicle was found the night before, according to police.READ MORE: City Panel Votes To Remove Thomas Jefferson Statue At City Hall

According to officials, no suspicious circumstances were involved with Norton’s death.
