Injury Report: Jets Secondary Banged Up Versus Giants In Week 13 Showdown

On Friday, the New York Jets revealed their injury report for Week 13 of the 2015 NFL season, and the sentiment around Gang Green Nation is that, "When it rains, it pours." That's because not only will Todd Bowles & Co. be without the services of starting cornerback Darrelle Revis (concussion), but it appears that his replacement, Marcus Williams (knee), could also miss Sunday's showdown versus the hated New York Giants.
Revis, who will miss his second straight game of the season, was unable to practice all week due to a concussion suffered on Nov. 22 against the Houston Texans. The six-time Pro Bowler rejoined the team for the first time in two weeks on Friday, but was only allowed to attend meetings prior to being sent home.
"It's a step forward," Bowles said when asked about Revis' progress. "I don't know how much, but it's a step forward. … Hopefully he feels better next week. Right now, it's too early to tell."
Williams, who started in place of "Revis Island" in last week's rout over Miami, suffered a sprained left knee and is listed as doubtful.
"It's still day-to-day, just trying to get it better," said the team's leader in interceptions (5) regarding his status. "It's gonna be a game-time decision. Hopefully, see how I feel from there."
Also joining Williams on the Jets doubtful list is another defensive back, as strong safety Dion Bailey continues to deal with a lingering ankle injury. If unable to go, the second-year man out of USC would miss his fourth consecutive game this season, as he's been stuck on 22 tackles since Week 9.
Even though there are seven additional players in the Jets Week 13 injury report, only outside linebacker Calvin Pace appears to be in danger of sitting out Sunday's pivotal clash.
Nursing an abdomen injury, the 13-year vet out of Wake Forest is listed as questionable after limited participation in practice. Earlier this week, the 35-year-old from Detroit was asked to weigh in on the possibility of having to guard Giants ultra-athletic wideout, Odell Beckham.
"[He's a] good receiver, man," Pace said of ODB. "He's kind of in the mold of a [DeAndre] Hopkins, a guy who can make a lot of acrobatic catches, fast. It's just a situation where we have to do a good job up front of getting to Eli [Manning]. The back end guys have got to keep [Beckham] in front of them, and don't allow him to get any big plays."
The remaining six players are listed as probable, and with the exception of wide receiver Brandon Marshall (toe) and center Nick Mangold (hand), they were all able to participate in full team practices. Notable names on this list include starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick (left thumb) and wide receiver Eric Decker (knee).
