NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A woman was struck and killed by a Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn late Monday afternoon.
Police were called around 5:55 p.m. to Avenue Z and East 17th Street in Brooklyn, after the 62-year-old woman was struck by a B36 bus, police said. The woman had been crossing East 17th Street at the time, police said.

The woman was identified as Eleonora Shulkina of Brooklyn, police said late Monday.
