NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police have made an arrest in a Queens murder case from over a year and a half ago.

On April 19, 2014, authorities responded to a call in the vicinity of 103rd Avenue and 108th Street in South Ozone Park, where they found 20-year-old Branden Santiago with two gunshot wounds to the head.

Police said Santiago was found laying next to a scooter. He was taken to Jamaica Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Nearly two years later, police announced Thursday they have made an arrest in the case.

Sherman Manning, 37, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder, criminal possession of a weapon and menacing.

There’s no word yet on a motive for the shooting.
