Lawrence Taylor Named To Super Bowl 50 Golden Team

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Giants great Lawrence Taylor has been named to the Super Bowl 50 Golden Team.

The squad of all-time greats was selected by the same voters who decide Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees.

Taylor was the only representative from either of New York's teams to be chosen. The Hall of Fame linebacker helped propel the Giants to world titles after the 1986 and 1990 seasons.

Joe Montana, who won four Super Bowls with the San Francisco 49ers, was voted the team's quarterback over Tom Brady and Terry Bradshaw, who also have won four each.

The Pittsburgh Steelers' Chuck Noll, who also won four titles, was selected the team's coach.

The only active player to make the team was kicker Adam Vinatieri.
